ABOUT ME

Behind the Words

I see journalism as a way of life, of learning and growing. It brings about change, it opens up hidden places, and closed minds. For me journalism is a way of looking at the world, as well as experiencing it. It is a state of mind. I want my journalism to make people heard, and make others listen.

This is a long-read where I investigated what mental health treatment is available for young people in general, and young girls in particular, when they come out of gangs. The results were alarming. This is my final year project for my journalism course at City University of London.

This profile on Phil Pearl, mental toughness coach, is a part of Samson Magazine, a men's mental health magazine. Samson Magazine was created and produced by me and three class mates for our journalism course at City University of London.

I wrote this feature about PTSD and the under-diagnosing, and misunderstanding, of the disorder. The feature was a part of Samson Magazine, a men's mental health magazine, created and produced by me and three classmates.

On 25 June 2017, in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, similar towers were being evacuated in Swiss Cottage. Without warning, in the middle of the night, the residents were woken up by the authorities and placed in public venues such as leisure centres. I was there reporting for Swedish Public Service as a foreign correspondent. My reporting topped the national news throughout the day.

Reporting for national radio P4 Extra - Swedish Public Service

P4 Extra is a daily national radio programme discussing news. I covered the evacuations on 25 June 2017 in Swiss Cottage for them.

Radio Package Eating disorders - City University of London
00:00 / 00:00

For some people health care has turned in to a postcode lottery. I interviewed two women with anorexia, who had to move in order to qualify for treatment. Daniele Fisichella, press officer at organisation Beat Eating Disorders is also giving his professional viewpoint on the matter. This radio package was made as a part of my journalism course at City University of London.

This is a showreel with content I have done for radio during my journalism course at City University of London. It contains a package about eating disorders, me as a radio presenter for a 2-hour long radio programme, interviewing live guests, and live reporting about Wandsworth council's proposition to fine tree climbing.
